Dwarven Depths

Dwarven Depths is an underground adventure! Dig for treasure and slay underground beasts. Grab a friend or three and watch the mayhem unfurl. Lay traps or lay in ambush for your friends. Survive with strategy and cunning or barrel through your foes to reach the safety of the surface.

Enough with the ad copy (although I could probably use some more exclamation points : )
Dwarven Depths was developed over seven months. The idea of it was born out of a game prototype developed by Andy Giese and myself over sixteen hours. Andy was unfortunately not able to continue development because of some other commitments, such getting enough homework done to graduate. I fortunately had my priorities straight. Games, then graduation. Seven months later, I had my first game finished.

Development has definitely been a journey. From the first 16-hour prototype to the final 44-hour weekend push to finish the game, I’ve been working hard to make this game the best it can be. Once any one person buys the game, I’ll be able to call myself a professional game developer (at least by the loosest definition of ‘professional’). A childhood dream of mine will be fulfilled. Once that happens, I’ll be able to get started on my next game and do more of the things I like (Coding! Drawing pretty graphics!) and less of the things I care less about (I’m not sure any kid anywhere ever dreamed about being a marketer. At least, not before Mad Men came out.)

The music for this game was done by Nick Pittsinger. His work is awesome sauce. Look! Now the music is available for free!

If you have any suggestions for improvements to the game, let me know.
